About ERL

Retirement means more time to do the things you love, and at ERL we are committed to giving you the opportunity to make the most of it. Our exclusive retirement villages for over 55s offer more than just luxury homes, they also offer first class hospitality and a complete, carefree lifestyle where no two days need be the same. Add to this an excellent range of facilities and fantastic choice of social events, underpinned by comfort and security, and support as and when you need it.

ERL is part of Enterprise Property Group Limited (EPGL), a rapidly expanding national developer which is committed to delivering quality properties, built to a high specification, in all its areas of operation. Specialising in providing reassuring quality and lifestyle in luxurious apartments and houses, purpose-built for the older generation in their retirement years, ERL shares the wealth of experience and expertise available from EPGL’s dedicated professional team.

Barnardo Developments Limited (BDL) is a subsidiary of Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest child care charity. BDL’s role is to ensure that when a property is no longer required for use by the charity, the income received from its disposal is maximised. To achieve this, BDL has successfully developed a number of sites, including award-winning retirement communities in Tunbridge Wells, Taunton, Harrogate and, most recently, Boughton Hall in Chester in conjunction with ERL.

The Red House is ERL’s second retirement village and is being developed in association with BDL. ERL’s first retirement development at Boughton Hall in Chester, a joint venture with BDL, comprises 80 one and two bedroom apartments and is now a fully occupied, thriving village community.
